Three Things You Need To Avoid According To Internet Marketers

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008

If you want to be at the top of the search engines results page, you need to understand that this is no easy task. For some people, this can take days, if not months, to achieve. For one, Google changes its algorithm every so often that discovering the factors of page ranking can be pretty difficult. But seasoned internet marketers have already released a list of things that must be avoided:

• Reciprocal linking is not a good way of creating backlinks. It is better to have links with sites which are not yours – that means that other people recognize you as an authority within your niche and that Google should too.

• Comment spam is a no-no. Imagine someone making comments like “nice blog” or “good post”. What do you feel? Pretty discouraging right? If you leave comments like these, then that means that you weren’t really reading the post. Blog owner hate that – so does Google.

• Do not buy links. Spending for something you can very easily get for free is a waste of resources. Instead, it is best that you work on making your site look better. This way, you get more people attracted to your site. Take note: Google hates link farms and will penalize you for using such service.
